Red Wings clip Tomahawks

Tyrell Genier scored twice and added two assists in the third period as the High Prairie Red Wings broke a 2-2 tie and defeated the Enoch Northern Alberta Tomahawks 5-2 at the Sports Palace Jan. 19.

Genier’s goal proved to be the game-winner and was scored on the power play at the 4:19 mark. He later assisted on goals from Mikal Chalifoux and Mavin McMaster in the final three minutes to help seal the win.

Riley Arcand- Auigubelle and Danny McLean gave Enoch a 2-1 lead after one period with Gabriel Blais replying for High Prairie.

Larry Yellowknee scored the only goal of the second period to tie the game.

Red Wings’ goaltender Jeremiah Clark was named first star stopping 35 of 37 shots to record the win. Enoch fired 18 shots in the third period on Clarke but he stopped them all before the offence started clicking.
