RCMP continues investigation

McLennan RCMP continue to investigate an assault that occurred May 4-5 and are advising the public there is no risk.

On May 5, police received a complaint of an assault that occurred at a residence in McLennan. The female victim was transported to Sacred Heart Community Health Centre in McLennan and assessed, then transported via air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Grande Prairie for further assessment and medical treatment.

The female was treated for injuries and was released a few days later.

Police continues to investigate the matter. It is believed the female knew the individuals involved in the incident.

McLennan and Grande Prairie RCMP, as well as special units from Edmonton and Peace River, including Forensic
Identification Services, General Investigative Services, and Major Crimes, responded to the complaint.
