Pumpkin carving contest Oct. 27

It’s time to get those jack-o-lanterns ready for Halloween!
What better time to get ready than at the Faust FCSS and Faust Community League Halloween Pumpkin Carving Party Oct. 27 from 4-6 p.m.
Children are asked to register at the store or FCSS office. Deadline to register is noon Oct. 13.
The location of the party is to be announced.
Oilmen’s Bonspiel Nov. 25-26

The High Prairie Oilmen’s Association continues to raise money and have fun at the same time.
The annual bonspiel will be held Nov. 25-26. Cost to enter is $300 per team with a 16-team limit. Each team is guaranteed three games in the three-event competition.

Community band organizing

The High Prairie and District Community Band is organizing for its second season.
The band is inviting interested musicians to join the band on Tuesday evenings from 7:30-8:30 p.m. at the PRJH School band room.
The band began its first season and held its first public performances last year.
