Future of county on table

Big Lakes County council invites residents and property owners to attend an open house later this month to review the draft municipal development plan and land-use bylaw.

Open house sessions have been set for June 27 at the Triangle Hall, June 28 at the Joussard Community Hall and June 29 at the Faust Gathering Place, all from 6-8 p.m.

“It’s important that residents have input in these plans and the open houses provide that opportunity for them to share their vision and ideas,” Reeve Ken Matthews says.

“Both draft plans are total rewrites, not just updates from 2012, the last time they were reviewed.”

Project consultant, V3 Company of Canada, will join planning and development staff and council to explain the planning documents.
