High Prairie town council approved a $435,000 tender for the upgrade of the Evergreen Reservoir at its Jan. 23 meeting. Due to the importance of the reservoir, and its aging components, public works Supt. Vern Walker recommended proceeding. Council agreed, noting there was no guarantee they would get a better price. Councillor Donna Deynaka noted problems at the reservoir last year saying the next time a breakdown occurs council “may not be as lucky” and run out of water.
