In loving memory of Kenneth Murray Brian Rouse, beloved son, grandson, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, who passed away Nov. 17, 2017, at the High Prairie Health Complex in High Prairie, with his family by his side.
Ken was born Jan. 16, 1955 to Bernice Rouse [Robertson] of Wiarton, Ont. Ken grew up in Wiarton attending the old country school in his early years, then on to Wiarton District High School, and later to Georgian College in Owen Sound, Ont. Ken met his wife of 35 years in Wiarton in 1977 before moving to Alberta in 1980.
Ken worked as a welder most of his life at which he excelled and enjoyed. Ken also enjoyed playing sports such as hockey and baseball, fishing, hunting and camping, the latter three carrying over into his later years. Camping with the family was a yearly tradition that was happily anticipated by all.
Ken was predeceased by his mother Bernice, stepfather Carl, grandparents James and Ethel Rouse, and close friend Harold Wright.
Ken is survived by his sisters Linda Kowalski [Brian], Lorna Lang [Alan], Brenda Robertson and brother Randy Robertson [Debbie]; by his wife Audrey Rouse, son Ken Rouse Jr., [Jade], daughters Sheila Howatt [Jason], Tanya Sheridan [Jeff], Brianne Rouse [Jason]; his grandchildren Silas, Jasmine, Jayden, Daylin, Keaton, Kadince, Aaliyah, and Jamal, and his niece Lesley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Ontario.
There will be a Celebration of Ken’s Life Dec. 1, 2017, from 1-4 at the High Prairie Legion Hall in High Prairie. Please bring any pictures you may have of Ken and stories to share.
Children are welcome so please, no alcohol beverages. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
