It’s the only place in town you will see about 40 beautifully decorated Christmas trees in once place.

Plus, literally hundreds of other Christmas decorations and ornaments!

The 20th annual Festival of Trees will be held Dec. 8-9, and Dec. 14-16 from 6-8 p.m. each evening in the pedway linking the hospital with J.B. Wood Extended Care.

Each hospital department and a few community groups decorate a tree. Coupled with the decorations, it is a must-see holiday event. Decorations are provided mainly be Shirl Redmond, Fran McNaught and Tammy Fung.

Each open house will feature treats and beverages, photos with Santa, a silent auction, and door prizes. There is no cost to attend.

The Festival of Trees began 20 years ago to help bring some Christmas cheer to the lives of the residents at J.B. Wood Extended Care Unit and patients at the hospital. Visitors commented on the display, open houses were later held to celebrate the display with the public.
