Calaheson keys fourth quarter rally

Kye Anderson scored 23 points to lead the Gift Lake Hurricanes to a narrow 51-47 win over the visiting Slave Lake St. Francis Falcons Nov. 30.

The game gives each team a split of their first two games in this year’s Smoky River Junior High School Basketball League.

The Falcons led 42-41 after three quarters but Colten Calahesin scored eight of his 13 points in the fourth quarter to key the comeback.

Other scorers for Gift Lake were Caige Anderson with nine points, Patrick Yellowknee with four, and Lyryk Tallman with two.
